I am a girlscout and currently trying to earn my gold award.
I would like to create a community "green art show."
This art show would consist of art made from recycled items. it would also include a talk about our Earth's future and methods of "staying green." I was curious if anyone would like to support my efforts, speak at this art show or make any suggestions.

Earth Day and EPA@40 Celebration

EPA is having a huge celebration this weekend for the 40th anniversary of Earth Day and EPA on the National Mall between 4th and 7th Streets.

In addition to interactive, fun and educational exhibits related to environmental protection for children, there will also be a performance and speaker stage. EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson is scheduled to appear at the EPA Earth Day tent on Saturday between 12pm-2pm

Some fun exhibits you can see are:
The Carbon Wheel of Fortune, spin the wheel and learn ways you can reduce your carbon footprint.
“Thirstin” shows children the importance of protecting drinking water.
Show your kids the basics of a science experiment! We’ll use simple things like baking soda and rock salt to show how chemicals can interact.

When: Saturday, April 24, 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday, April 25, 10 am – 5 pm

Where: Between 4th and 7th Streets NW on the National Mall, Washington D.C., one block away from the Earth Day Network events.
